<>🌟🌟🌟🌟💫James Rollins is a new author to me。 And surprisingly I love his books so much。 The Last Odyssey fits my reader's aesthetic so much。 It involves ancient history， Homer's Illiad and Odyssey and something from Dark Ages during Arabs led the world in technology and science。 The Last Odyssey is something you can't put down。 You are eager to know what will happens next， what will Sigma Force discover next。 In this book， the amount of historical and scientific evidence equally blends in togethe <>🌟🌟🌟🌟💫James Rollins is a new author to me。 And surprisingly I love his books so much。 The Last Odyssey fits my reader's aesthetic so much。 It involves ancient history， Homer's Illiad and Odyssey and something from Dark Ages during Arabs led the world in technology and science。 The Last Odyssey is something you can't put down。 You are eager to know what will happens next， what will Sigma Force discover next。 In this book， the amount of historical and scientific evidence equally blends in together。 It went from Homer's The Odyssey and other Greeks Myths reimagining in real life。 Rollins also did not forget to mention some of the names of Arabs scientists and their creations back then。 A group of researchers stumbles on a shocking find- a medieval ship buried half a mile below the ice。 It contains the artifacts from Bronze Age。 They found a gold map clockwork with an intricate silver astrolabe embedded in it。 Once they realized that ages ago， The Sons of Moses trying to craft a tool to lead them to the opening gates of hell。 And they found it， they found the entrance of Hell。 Sigma Force must do everything they can to find it before anyone else because in Homer's tales it was told that whoever possesses them can use the power to control humanity。 The Last Odyssey is the fifteenth book in the Sigma Force series and you can choose not to follow the series and read any of the books in the Sigma Force series as standalone。 It is fun seeing how much the characters grew up。 Gray and Seichan as a parent and they need to balance their work-life alongside with their child。 Reading The Last Odyssey makes me forget the line between the real world and fantasy。 But， do not worry cause at the end of the chapter， Rollins rolls out what is real and what is not。 If you love Dan Brown， Lee Child and maybe Jo Nesbo， you gotta try this book next。 You wont regret it。 。。。more

Another roller coaster of a thriller We were taken from Greenland to Italy to Morocco。 These characters have saved the world again。 The plot of this one was rollicking and the twists were definitely surprising

Sigma is still fun and exciting but I did feel it was a little old。 It was a bit like Rollins pulled from the plots of Bloodline and Bone Labyrinth then threw in some heavy religious undertones。 Did I love it？ No。 Did it make me cry？ Yes。 Will I keep reading his work？ Oh yea

I got hooked on the first sigma I read， the bone labyrinth。 At the time it had everything I wanted: pulpy fast paced page turning action， a cast of cookie cutter characters with just enough depth to keep the momentum going， ties in science， myth， fiction， conspiracy （loved the artificial moon shit， which I stand by） and alternative history。 Enjoyed the 6th extinction enough to read more sigmas。 The standalones like Amazonia and ice hunt were。。。fun。 I guess I’ve read about 10 Rollins books and。。。 I got hooked on the first sigma I read， the bone labyrinth。 At the time it had everything I wanted: pulpy fast paced page turning action， a cast of cookie cutter characters with just enough depth to keep the momentum going， ties in science， myth， fiction， conspiracy （loved the artificial moon shit， which I stand by） and alternative history。 Enjoyed the 6th extinction enough to read more sigmas。 The standalones like Amazonia and ice hunt were。。。fun。 I guess I’ve read about 10 Rollins books and。。。 holy shit。。。 the last few seem like they could have been the exact same book。 Change the location， change the mysterious object， change the culture your dealing with， change the savage beasties， slightly modify the eccentric millionaire villain bent on ending the world。。。but other than that I think the books are the same。 Pretty sure the dialogue is exactly the same。 I’m quite convinced Rollins has a Mad Libs template and from here， merely fills in the relevant blanks with new， slightly modified， all too tired and painfully familiar details。 。。。more

3。5 I usually love to read a James Rollins story but I found this latest novel arduous to get through。 The amount of historical names and the hundreds of pages it took to arrive at some momentum was distracting。
